Camiguin Island is located about 50 miles north of Cagayan De Oro city. We met up with one of Love Mae’s high school pals, Bebs, and her Ozzy hubby Mike. They very kindly drove us north to a closer point where we needed to make a one hour ferry crossing.

Mike and I stayed in a restaurant while the girls haggled with the ticketing people to get a place on the 4pm ferry. They would not pay the bribe required to the guys loading the ferry so we ended up on the next one at about 6pm.

We got a minivan on the island to take us to a friends house which was as good as any 5 star hotel in the UK! Great pizza for dinner and an early night for an early island tour in the morning.

These are general images of our time on the island from arrival to departure. As you can see we met many people waiting for the ferry on the way back. A lot of pretty filipinas, some cool guys, some characterful faces and as many smiles as anyone could wish for! These people are amazing!
