UK Pick-Up & Van Nationals - Enhanced Images
We went along to shoot the second Clapham Classic Events gathering and had a very enjoyable day out :-)
Get the image you wish to see in the right pane by clicking on it and then click on it again there to see a larger version of it :-) Please check the first image in the Roadster gallery for a full width and height sample. I have reduced the quality for uploading. It is only 2.1MB here - the original is 18MB :-) If you would like to own a copy of any of these, please email us for further details at info@clevercaptures.com
The event was again held in the unique location of RAF Twinwood Farm, a Second World War air base used by the Americans (most notably Glenn Miller of course). The area has been retained in its 1940's style and makes for a very different venue to display shiny paintwork, polished aluminium and chrome. The contrast between the vehicles and backdrop is great here but one or two erm.... less shiny ones blended in so well they almost disappeared!
Vehicles entered in a different gate this time giving us a different location to shoot in to the last event. This time we were in front of the WRENS accomodation which is one of the museums on site. We liked the chimney as this added to the setting and were very pleased when we discovered this was actually in use to add some atmosphere to the museum. It also added some smoke to some of the images :-) The location worked very well to give us the backdrop and vehicle position that we favoured. As hoped for, we also found a few minutes at this event to take other images around the site and these are essentially those at the end of the gallery and a few at the beginning.
Below you will find a single image of each vehicle that stopped for 5 seconds or so in front of our camera. These are in order of attendance between about 9.30am and noon. All of the images have been post processed to better display the vehicle in shot and the event logo has been added too. We hope you enjoy looking through these to see these vehicles in this very unusual setting. We had a great time capturing these and are delighted to add them to our unique collection of car images. Many thanks one and all.
ENJOY!
Peter & Love Mae
