Valentines Day 2010 :

Here we have images from the "Filipinos & Friends" Valentines Party at Great Stukeley. To see larger versions of each image, select the thumbnail and when it appears in the righthand pane you will see a slide out menu as you hover your mouse pointer over it. Select "Original" and you will then see a larger version. This is not the actual original. This is much larger and superior quality without the watermark of course.

We had a very nice time here with the usual good food and company that anyone can expect at a Filipino Function :-) We were very pleased to win the balloon competition but admit to feeling very sorry for the couple who reached the final with us only to have their balloon burst by an earring - and before any man reading this that is is typical for the woman to cause the problem, it was HIS earring! :-)

We understand that this was the second time this function has been held and we do hope that a third one is arranged in 2011 - after all, we are the balloon competition defending champions! Very well organised, many thanks to all concerned, we hope you enjoy our visual record of the event.

If you would like any of the images from this event of yourself or family (we do not sell images to people unless they appear in them!), we can send you a CD containing the images you select. All we ask is a small donation towards our camera equipment as follows:- Up to 3 images of the same person - £10 Up to 6 images of the same person - £15 Up to 10 images of the same person £20. Donations include post and packing :-) Please remember to state the gallery title and image numbers! Please click on the appropriate PayPal buttons below as appropriate or alternatively email us at info@clevercaptures.com for details of alternative payment.

We are keeping our donations as low as possible whilst still bringing you the highest quality images we can achieve. So please support our labours (and our equipment kitty) and we will continue to bring you more! Feel free to leave any comments here as feedback would be very welcome!
ENJOY!

Kagay Whitewater Rafting - Philippines : We had a realy great time with Howard and Gary, our Cagayan De Oro River Guides today. We tackled 24 rapids over a 16km length of the river and it was just great! Check out page two of this gallery for some fun-in-the-hole action at Cloud Ten! I bet Love Mae that she would fall out first and more often than me too. How wrong could I be! I fell out first and three times to her masterful once!

Many thanks to all at Kagay Whitewater Rafting! The website is here:-

Bedford Statues at Night : On the night that the 2009 Christmas lights were turned on, I wandered around a few of Bedfords landmark features to capture them at night with the unusual hustle of people instead in vacant streets. Of course, several people asked to appear in the images and so here they are! I did ask them to stand very still due to the one or two second exposure times so any fuzziness is not my doing - its them moving!

The new "faces" sculpture at the top of Silver Street is stunning in daylight but with the permanent uplighters even more so. I think it is a tad large for the setting but I still really like them :-) Well done its creator, Rick Kirby. The almost as recent sculpture near the Town Bridge commemorating the 1st generation Italians arriving here is also really nice but the location is not really fitting and there is no illumination. I hope this gets moved to a better location at some point.

ENJOY!

Our 5th Wedding Anniversary : Love Mae and I met on the 16th March 2004. Exactly one year later we got married on the 16th March 2005 in England and then a further year later on the 18th March 2006 we got married again in Love Mae's home City of Iligan in the Philippines. This is now our 5th and almost our 4th wedding anniversaries respectively :-)

I decided to surprise Love Mae with a slideshow of our marriage in the Philippines, set to music that is very relevant to us, and to share this here with whoever else is interested :-) I have also put together a slideshow and soundtrack with just a handful of images that record when we met, our time here in the UK, our trip back to the Philippines and back here again.

When we met, Love Mae was isolated from the rest of the world due to the very poor economic situation that exists there for a large proportion of the population. She was like a small fish in a small tank, unable to grow or progress in any direction. But for the last five years she has been swimming freely in the open sea of life and has grown into an even more amazing person than she was when we met - and she amazed me then! I am so thankful to her for her huge heart and her overwhelming love for me that never fails to amaze me every day since we met.

For Love Mae:

"I am so very proud of you in every way Sweetheart. You fill my heart by being such a wonderful wife, loving me like no other, caring for me like no other and sharing with me like no other. I recall finding it difficult to call you "Love Mae" when we met because the use of the word "love" as a name was strange to me. But I quickly realised that you absolutely epitomise love and nobody could be more appropriately named than you. Just one of many areas where you have shown or demonstrated that my first impressions may be wrong! But one thing I am sure about is that the images and music here will bring a smile to your beautiful face and you know that this is my number one objective each and every day. I consider myself fortunate that this task is easily acheived as you are always so quick to smile whenever you can. You will never stop amazing me with everything that you are Love Mae. You are complete, and you complete me. LULxxx.....

ENJOY! "

Your Bio

We are Peter & Love Mae Parker based in Bedford, England.

We really enjoy capturing "moments in time" in digital images that bring pleasure to those who appear in them, their family, friends and all who see them. This moment in time could be as brief as 1/8000th of a second – fast enough to capture a fraction of the existence of countless drops of water as they fly through the air like diamonds before disappearing back into the thundering white water they were thrown from. Alternatively it could be 64,000 times slower - at 8 seconds – slow enough to capture the entire life of a firework, radiant in the night sky, from its detonation, throughout its spectacular display to a fading ember and its demise. All of this is seen by the eye, as it happens, but we are unable to recall it in such incredible detail and clarity as can be achieved with the awesome Canon technology and equipment that we use.

We have two objectives:- 1.To enjoy our photography! 2. To bring others enjoyment in the form of the high quality images produced.

In fact, the first is wholly dependent upon the second! What pleasure would a chef have if his perfectly prepared meal were not tasted by anyone? The pleasure of preparing the dish is incomplete unless enjoyed also by somebody else and we feel the same way about our visual “dishes”. So welcome to our “feast for the eyes” where you can eat and be merry because here your eyes can be much bigger than your belly yet you will always have room for more!

Many people do not have the equipment to take high quality images and others, such as athletes, competitors and performers, wish to be featured in them but do not have anyone present to take them. It is, therefore, our pleasure to make high quality images available to everyone who is unable to obtain them for whatever reason.

Please note that we enjoy our photography not as a business but, instead, as a self-funding hobby. Accordingly, rather than a fee, we ask only for a small donation towards our photographic equipment fund plus postage costs when you ask us to send you a CD with any of our images on. We shoot at sporting events, community events, group events, festivals, shows etc so have a look through our various categories and galleries and see what we have been doing and where we have been. If you wish to obtain any of the images, please look in each gallery for the specific details of how you can do this. If you do not find them within the gallery that you are interested in, please email us at info@clevercaptures.com with your requirements. Most of the categories and galleries are for public viewing but some are private requiring password access. These tend to be personal images of family gatherings or other private functions where the images would not be available to anyone other than those featured.

Please note we typically only supply digital images on a CD and we do not offer printing of regular size images. However, if you require larger prints, calendars or photobooks, please email us with your requirements. Our 20" x 30" posters on high grade photopaper are awesome! All images supplied will be much larger and much better quality than those seen here online and without any watermarking. Please take a look in our Sample Gallery to see some larger images without watermarking to get a better idea of what you can expect on a CD.

Whatever your reason for viewing our images, we hope you like them! Enjoy!
