Images and videos from the 2009 Sports Awards in which Viking Kayak Club came 2nd :-) We were awarded £3000 as well so this is great news for all at VKC of course. Our congratulations to Richmond Volleyball Club who were very worthy winners of the main Award.
On the subject of image quality, apologies but most of these were taken with a Canon Ixus "point and click" camera that has lived in my pocket for a couple of years! So no prizes for brilliant images. However, we simply wanted quick and easy images to remind us of the event and these came out great for this purpose as you can see :-)
This is the nomination video that was shown on the big screen during the event. Very short but it gives a flavour of the things the Club is involved with. It was good of the Mayor to pop along and say a few words :-) Unfortunately this widescreen video does not display here in widescreen and the images are all squished up! No idea why - apologies.
